Mexico City-based photographer and skateboarder Fito Stone has always enjoyed a unique perspective behind his analogue camera, travelling and shooting in a whimsical and romantic style that takes you on a journey of its own.
We caught up with him for a journal recap of one of his trips to the starry skies of the Dominican Republic for a closer look into the story behind his photo journal.
LOOT: What is the story behind these images?
Fito: It was actually more than a photoshoot. We were just living the moment, with a bike, skating, sowing, building, climbing, surfing, fishing and many other activities. Every shot from that trip was just meant to be. we didn’t plan anything and that’s what makes every shot unique and special <3
Fito: Can’t really remember but I think I used a Praktica camera with a 50mm lens and Lomography black and white film.
LOOT: How did you end up in the Dominican Republic?
Fito: One of my best friends was already there – Bruno, the one riding the bike. We are always ready for adventure! It could have been any other place in the world but Dominican just happened and it was dope.
